Registration

SabiBooks uses phone-based authentication — no passwords needed. You sign up with your Nigerian phone number, verify via SMS OTP, and set up your business profile.

  • A Nigerian phone number (any network: MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile)
  • A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a web browser
  • Internet connection for the initial setup (SabiBooks works offline after that)
  1. Open SabiBooks

Open your browser (Chrome, Safari, or Firefox) and go to app.sabibooks.com. You will see the Welcome screen with a Start Free button.

  2. Enter Your Details

Tap Start Free (or Get Started), then fill in:

    • Phone number — Your Nigerian number (e.g., 08012345678). You can also use +234 format
    • Full name — Your name (e.g., “Chidinma Okafor”)
    • Business name — Your shop or company name (e.g., “Mama Chidi Provisions”)
  3. Verify Your Phone Number

SabiBooks sends a 6-digit verification code (OTP) to your phone via SMS. Enter the code in the boxes on screen.

    • The code is valid for 10 minutes
    • If you don’t receive it, wait 30 seconds and tap Resend Code
    • You can request up to 3 codes per session
  4. Set Up Your Business Profile

After verification, you’ll configure your business:

    • Business name — Confirm or edit your business name
    • Business type — Select from: Retail, Wholesale, Restaurant, Services, Manufacturing, or Other
    • State and LGA — Choose your location from the dropdown
  5. Explore the Dashboard

You’re in! SabiBooks opens to your Dashboard showing:

    • Today’s sales (₦0 to start)
    • Quick action buttons (New Sale, Add Product, Add Customer)
    • Low stock alerts (empty until you add products)
  6. Add Your First Product

The fastest way to get started is to add a product right away:

    • Tap the ”+” button on the Products page
    • Enter the product name and selling price
    • Optionally add cost price (for profit tracking) and initial stock quantity
    • Tap Save

Having trouble receiving your verification code? Try these steps:

  1. Check the phone number — Make sure you entered the correct number. Watch for typos
  2. Wait before resending — There’s a 30-second cooldown between OTP requests
  3. Check your SMS inbox — The code comes via SMS, not WhatsApp
  4. Check network signal — Make sure your phone has network coverage
  5. New SIM or ported number? — Wait a few minutes and try again. Recently activated or ported numbers may have a short delay
  6. Still not working? — See the FAQ section on OTP troubleshooting for more help

You’re registered and ready to go! The next step is to record your first sale.
