Dashboard and Analytics

The Dashboard is the landing page of the Partner Portal. It provides a real-time overview of your merchant network’s performance and health.

At the top of the dashboard, a personalized greeting includes your first name (e.g., “Welcome back, John”) and a brief description of the page purpose. When data is refreshing in the background, an “Updating…” indicator appears next to the greeting.

Four key performance indicator (KPI) cards are displayed in a row at the top of the dashboard:

Total Merchants

Total number of merchants registered under your partner account. Includes a trend percentage showing growth compared to the previous period.

Active Merchants

Merchants who have been active recently. Displays the active rate as a percentage (e.g., “82.5% active”).

GMV (30 days)

Gross Merchandise Value — total sales volume across your merchants in the last 30 days. Displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) with a trend percentage.

Transactions

Total number of sales transactions across your merchants. Includes a trend percentage showing growth.

Understanding trend indicators: Each metric card can display a trend percentage. A positive percentage (shown in green) indicates growth compared to the previous period. A negative percentage (shown in red) indicates decline. Use these trends to quickly assess whether your merchant network is growing or contracting.

Below the metrics cards, the left two-thirds of the screen displays an Activity Chart — a bar chart showing daily Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) over the last 7 days. This chart helps you identify:

  • Peak days — Which days of the week see the most merchant activity.
  • Trends — Whether overall activity is increasing or decreasing.
  • Anomalies — Sudden drops that might indicate issues affecting merchants.

On the right side of the dashboard (below the Activity Chart on mobile), an At-Risk Alert panel appears when one or more merchants have been inactive for 14 or more days.

The alert:

  • Shows the exact count of at-risk merchants (e.g., “5 merchants at risk”).
  • Describes the inactivity threshold (“inactive for 14+ days”).
  • Provides a direct link to view the filtered at-risk merchants list.

If no merchants are at risk, this panel does not appear — a clean dashboard is a positive signal.

Below the at-risk alert (or in its place when no alert is shown), a Quick Actions panel provides shortcuts to common tasks:

At the bottom of the dashboard, the Top Merchants section ranks your highest-performing merchants by GMV. Each entry shows:

ColumnDescription
RankPosition in the leaderboard. Top 3 display a trophy icon (gold, silver, bronze). Ranks 4+ show a numeric position.
Business NameThe merchant’s registered business name
Tier BadgeColored badge indicating performance tier: Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Standard
Transaction CountNumber of transactions in the current period
GMVTotal Gross Merchandise Value in compact Naira format (e.g., “1.2M”)
GrowthPercentage growth compared to the previous period (green for positive, red for negative)

Click any merchant in the leaderboard to navigate directly to their detail page. A “View all” link in the header takes you to the full merchants list sorted by GMV.

The dashboard data refreshes automatically every 5 minutes. You do not need to manually reload the page. When a refresh is in progress, a subtle “Updating…” indicator with a spinner appears in the welcome section.

  • Loading: When the dashboard is first loading, skeleton placeholder elements are displayed in place of each section, giving a visual indication that data is being fetched.
  • Error: If the dashboard fails to load (e.g., due to a network issue), an error message is displayed with a “Retry” button. Click Retry to attempt loading the data again.
  • Check the dashboard daily to stay on top of merchant network health.
  • Act on at-risk alerts promptly. A merchant inactive for 14 days is unlikely to return without intervention.
  • Track GMV trends weekly. A sustained decline in GMV may signal broader issues affecting your merchant base.
  • Compare peak days to identify which days of the week are most active and schedule outreach accordingly.
  • Monitor the leaderboard for changes in your top merchants’ performance. A top merchant suddenly declining may need priority support.
