What You See After Install
Section titled “What You See After Install”Tap the new orange icon. The app opens full-screen with no browser address bar.
The first screen shows the SabiBooks logo with the tagline “Simple-Simple, No Wahala” and two buttons: Get Started for new users and I already have an account for returning users.
Across the bottom of the screen, the main navigation has five tabs:
- Home — your dashboard with sales, profit, and stock at a glance
- Products — your inventory
- Sale — the orange centre button; tap this to record a sale
- Customers — your customer list and credit balances
- More — invoices, expenses, reports, settings, and help
For the rest of the first-time setup (creating your account, verifying your email, setting up your business profile), see Getting Started.
Skip the OTP Wait Every Time
Section titled “Skip the OTP Wait Every Time”After your first login, the app shows two prompts in sequence. Both are optional, but accepting them both means you will not wait for an OTP again on this phone for 90 days.
-
Trust this device
When you see the “Trust this device?” prompt, tap the Trust this device button. SabiBooks remembers your phone for 90 days.
-
Set a PIN
When the “Set a PIN for faster login” prompt appears, tap Set PIN and choose a 4-6 digit PIN. Pick something you will remember but a stranger would not guess.
-
Enable fingerprint (if your phone has it)
If the “Enable fingerprint login?” prompt appears, tap Enable and confirm with your fingerprint or Face ID.
The next time you open SabiBooks, you will see a PIN keypad with “Welcome back, [Your Name]!” Tap your PIN — or use your fingerprint — and you are inside the app. No email. No code. No waiting.
Working Offline
Section titled “Working Offline”Once you have installed SabiBooks, it works without internet. You can record sales, view your products and customers, and add new entries. A yellow banner at the top of the screen tells you when you are offline, and everything syncs automatically when your network returns.
Automatic Updates
Section titled “Automatic Updates”When the SabiBooks team ships a new feature, the next time you open the app you will see a small toast at the bottom: “New version available! Click update to get the latest features.” Tap Update now to refresh. Updates roll out the moment you open the app — no app-store review queue.
Common Mistakes
Section titled “Common Mistakes”- Using a bookmark instead of installing. A bookmark opens in your browser with the address bar showing. The installed app opens full-screen, like a normal app.
- Trying to install from Chrome on iPhone. Only Safari can install the app on iPhone.
- Two icons on the home screen. If you accidentally bookmarked and also installed, remove the bookmark and keep the one that opens full-screen.
